How to make a gallon of delicious iced tea
Yum. Sorry, I'm currently drinking some of the iced tea I just made and poured into a gallon pitcher. Wanna learn how to do that too?
Good. Do it my way, and you get not only a very quick way to make tea, but a way to get a gallon worth to put into a pitcher or an old milk jug, and drink whenever you feel like.
Step one, fill a pitcher with 3 quarts of water. This is important because this is how you make your tea cold. Stick that three quarts into the fridge.
Step two, put one quart of water in a pot. Boil the water.
Step three: When your water is boiling, shut the flame off. Stick six tea bags in, and then cover the pot. Wait fifteen minutes.
Step four: Uncover the pot and pull the tea bags out, and throw them away.
Step five: Pour the quart of super-tea into the 3 quarts of chilled water. Mix thoroughly. Sweeten to taste.
That's how ya do it. I don't even add sweetener when I do it - I just like unsweetened tea. Alternatively, you can simply fill your jug or pitcher with a gallon of water, stick tea bags in it, and then stick it into the fridge overnight. That's cold-brewing, and it makes equally delicious tea. This is the way to get quick tea, though. Enjoy!

Mmmmm delicious tea thanks
This is a great hub! Iced tea is my favorite drink. I probably drink at least a half a gallon of iced tea every day. I use the same method that you do, but I use eight tea bags instead of six. I like my tea stronger than most people do.
Awesome! I have to try this. I too am a tea lover. Thanks.
I LOVE TEA, and Thank You for this recipe for the greatest tea!
