Guide to Monopoly Millionaires for Facebook: tips, tricks, cheats, hints, and strategies
Monopoly Millionaires is a popular Facebook game by Electronic Arts that combines the game play of the original Monopoly with city-builder game style gameplay of such hits as ESPNU College Town, Social City, and City of Wonder, to create a game with a whole brand new style of gameplay.
The game shares many similarities with Monopoly, such as the fact that it takes place on your very own virtual Monopoly board, and you roll the dice to move your piece down the board and collect place cards, such as Park Place and the Boardwalk, as well as all of the others that Monopoly fans remember from the game itself.
However, like games such as ESPNU College Town, you make more and more money per a certain amount of time just by having your properties at all.

For the most part, everything about the original Monopoly that you remember from way back when, is true about Monopoly Millionaires. For example, you need every property card of one color in order to be able to upgrade a house. When you pass Go, you collect 200 dollars.
In addition, when you build all of the houses of one color in their appropriate spaces (for example, you build 2 brown houses in the 2 brown spaces), you also begin construction of a hotel. You can either use friends to help build the hotel, or buy the finished hotel with your monopoly gold.
You don't have to build only houses that match the color spaces, though. In fact, when starting out the game, since you won't have much money, your best bet is to put a brown house, which costs 100 dollars to build, in every single space on the board until you can afford better houses. Brown houses pay the highest amount of money per dollars spent on the house (even though they only pay 1 dollar every 5 minutes), and the hotel that's already built on your map causes your brown houses to add up.
From there on out, you can either go for color-matching as you earn the funds to do so (especially if you plan to build hotels) or you can do another good strategy, which is to keep playing your friends' boards and collecting property cards. Each time you complete a set of upgrade cards, build a house that matches your upgrade card, and then upgrade it immediately. Or you can simply keep replacing cheaper houses with more expensive houses, collecting more and more and more money as you do so.
To collect rent from other people, you need to build hotels. To make hotel building easier, simply add a whole lot of neighbors who play the game regularly, so that you can use their help to complete your hotels and your hotel upgrades. Even better about doing this, is that the more people who you are friends with, the more people will play on your board, meaning the more people who will end up paying you rent whenever they land on a property with a hotel on it.
Don't pay the power bill for any longer of a period than you plan to be offline for. If you pay it for too long, you will lose more money even though you will make money for the entire time that you are offline still. Don't pay it for too little time, though, or else you will come back to your board to find it dark and to find yourself not making anymore money.

It's technically smarter to use the electricity as long as you have a lot of properties. You will make about 8 times the money.
When playing on neighbours boards, look for the boards with collect items on them as per the icons below your main board. You'll see stacks of cash or property cards, play these boards first as you may be in to win more than usual.
Come online at estimated intervals on when you expect your rolls to be at the max again (eg: you get a roll every 16 minutes and your max is 15/15, then it is best to stay offline no more than 4 hours and roll them all on most profitable boards when you come back), repeat. That way, you will collect cards fast, earn higher rent and finish levels faster. If you stay off line longer (we all have a life after all), you will lose some potential rolls and your level clearance will be delayed.
When you finish a level and unlock a certain house. Immediately sell all the ones of that color and replace it with the new house. No need to waste cards to upgrade old houses when the new ones bring a much bigger ROI. Money is not really a factor as you will earn rent MUCH faster. Eg: The base rent for brown goes from 5M to 7M, a 40% increase as you go from Organic to Mediterranean. That 40% increase will apply to your hotel bonus as well!
You need friends to build hotels and you will often start with a very limited "friend resources" that actually play Monopoly regularly. Request for investors to build hotels in order of priority as: The set you will upgrade the faster and the set that requires a less sponsors. For example: The orange Modernist requires 8 Gold, which I do not have. So I will probably have the Red Elizabeth houses before that level of Orange. Therefore, I will try to build a hotel on Red before Orange.
Do not send requests for multiple hotels. If you send the number of requests equal to what is required. Eg: 6 for Orange, 7 for red, 8 for yellow. Not everyone will respond and you will end up with 4/6 sponsors, 5/7 sponsors, etc. Better to send a few more requests than needed for any given hotel to make sure it gets completed and your boosted revenue starts coming in as soon as possible.
Always look at the base rent increment from one type of building to the next. The purple goes from 5.5M to 7.5M, which is a greater increase than 6M to 8M. Then again, it is easier to upgrade and hotel than the higher property. Upgrade as you can afford but do not skip colors. Better to have a hotel with upgraded houses on a smaller color than a hotel on a larger color where houses are behind a couple of levels.
Build a hotel on each color group before you upgrade one as the Hotel Bonus will remain x1.5. Remember, limited friend resources. You also want to build as much perpetual revenue as possible to beat your friends as the "race to the highest net worth".
Monopoly Millionaire will occasionally post a message where a lot of people will be asking to be added as neighbors. Instead of adding each one of them, post your own message and accept all friend requests at once next time you're online. As soon as you accept them, send them a hotel request for the next hotel you are planning to build. Take note of them so you don't send them the request again until your hotel is complete.

Do you have houses on properties of the same color? For example, light blue houses on light blue properties?
i don´t know how to invest in other people's hotels
So if we buy blue house and place it everywhere on the board. It would earn most money then.
But it would be hard to upgrade them because we need to walk 1 round in order to fall to blue color properly and get the property card.
does anyone know if you are able to start over on a new monopoly board???

John, Other people have to invite you to invest by clicking on their hotels and it will show up in tour invitations and when you open a monopoly millionaires session. To some of the other questions I am not sure. :-)
i didnt really like it because that was obious stuff and it said cheats so i was hoping for stuff i didnt know
When Monopoly begins you are given enough money to buy all the different colored houses. You can only build hotels when you have all colors of that group corresponding w/ the board. You do want to upgrade your houses when you can but it is fun to see the upgrades & you do get more money on each upgrade. Hotels are hard because you need enough friends to build it, or enough gold-click on the gold bars to buy investors (5 gold) if you don't have enough friends to help build it. The friends that help you don't have to pay rent for the hotels, you do pay rent each time you land on someone's property - it just doesn't seem like much.

in monopoly millionares im level 11 but i cant build the blue decon house. why?
I've been having troubles with this game, I can't ask for gifts or send gifts and when I try to get investors for my hotels it comes up with an error page, can anyone help me?
