Muscle Gain Truth POLL: Doggcrapp (DC Training) vs Super Squats vs German Volume Training routine
72These three bodybuilding routines are three of the best bodybuilding routines ever devised. They couldn't be more different in scope and in execution, but in the end, the goal is the same - to gain as much muscle as humanly possible, and get strong while doing it. They all work in completely different ways, too - while a very small amount of training style is shared between Doggcrapp and Super Squats, they really are two completely different routines. What is the muscle gain truth about these routines?
German Volume Training is the only one here that's a volume routine - it's the ol' "ten sets method", as it tends to be called, for obvious reasons: you do ten sets of your lifts of choice, most often for ten reps. Gains of ten pounds in four weeks are claimed, and common.
Doggcrapp is the newest of these routines, and focuses on constant progression, rest-pause sets to failure, beating the logbook with each workout, and muscle confusion. Gains of up to 65 pounds in one year have been claimed - and DOCUMENTED. I have gained nearly 20 pounds in 8 weeks on a previous use of this routine.
20 rep squats are the granddaddy of all of these routines. Also known as super squats, they are documented in the book "Super Squats" by Randall Strossen. Gains of 30 pounds in 6 weeks are well-documented, and in my use of Super Squats, I have experienced these exact gains myself - 29 lbs in 6 1/2 weeks
3 great routines, one choice. Which one is YOUR favorite?
