RENDERING and SPY SHOTS: new 2012/2013 Mercedes-Benz B-class
64According to the French magazine Automobile Magazine, the all new B-class will be the first beneficiary of Mercedes-Benz's new partnership with Nissan-Renault, receiving the corporate 3-cylinder 0.9 liter turbo engine that will see time in the new Twingo, Megane and Clio. The updated Benz hatch-MPV is abandoning the foreign-to-American-shores sandwich architecture, instead going with traditional FWD, front engined architecture. Should it come to the USA, don't expect the 3-cylinder engine - instead, expect 4-cylinder options with possible 6-cylinder performance models.
If it were to come to the USA, it would likely position against the BMW X1 and 1-series Gran Turismo, as well as the Audi A3 Sportback.
