How to use Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to drastically increase your Adsense income
75Search engine optimization, or SEO, is very likely, especially as an
Adsense user and a Hubpages reader, a buzz word you've seen a lot
of up to this point, or if you haven't already, you will. Sometimes, it
can seem like a vague concept, especially when articles about SEO
get way too wordy and convoluted, and it gets hard to understand.
Let me put it as simply as I can: Search engine optimization can
mean the difference between receiving 5 cents per Adsense click, or 5
dollars per Adsense click. And believe me, that's a big difference.
As a matter of fact, thanks to the Google keyword tool, you can
now figure out more than just what the highest-paying keywords
are. You can now also figure out which keywords draw a high
volume of searches, versus which keywords draw a low volume of
searches. You can see how much competition there is associated with
each keyword, both from advertisers competing for valuable ad space
and for publishers competing to get their work to the top of Google.
So, how can you get search engine optimization to work for you?
That's fairly simple, and it can especially be used to benefit your
Hubpages income, as well. Even when it comes to other income
sources, such as Chitika and Kontera, these tips will lead you to a
higher cost per click (cpc) and augment your overall income as a
whole.
1. Use the Google Adwords Keyword Tool to your full advantage. This
useful search tool can give you keyword ideas in more ways than
one. You can type in a set of keywords and it will take those, and
find new keywords that it thinks will be interested in. As well, you
can type in the URL of any webpage you want, and the keyword tool
will pull keywords and keyword ideas off of the webpage of your
choice. You can use this neat little trick to run your webpages and/
or articles through the keyword tool, pull keyword ideas that are
worth a higher CPC than your other content, add those lucrative
new keywords to your content, and watch your CPC grow as the new
keywords generate higher-priced ads, and people click on these ads.
2. For new articles that you are writing, write your articles ABOUT
the keywords you want to use, or about a relating subject that
enables you to make good use of the keywords. Ideally, pick keywords
that are the best balance of high-dollar and high search volume.
Certain keywords are easier to top Google with than others, but
that is for a whole different article.
3. Better yet, write multiple articles about related subjects, all of
which are high in keywords, and interlink them. This is especially
useful on Hubpages, as the more related articles you write and
interlink together, you rack up your own backlinks and give your
readers an easy way to find more of your content. The best part is,
backlinking gets easier and easier - the more relevant your content
becomes in the eyes of Google, the more relevant its linked content
becomes as well. More and more of this, and moneymaking will
practically become easy, and you'll be able to get a nice secondary
income (or even primary income, if you're just that good).
Take this advice, go out and write content and make money. Have at
it!!!
